SkyKing Whirlwind Designed by Brian Courtice

Brian Courtice designed the Whirlwind to be a fast building, great flying, in your face, slope design that is sure to please the beginner and the seasoned slope pilot alike. That’s a bold claim but this plane delivers!

There are two sizes of this great kit. Choose the 36” or 48” or build both. These birds will fly in 10 MPH winds but can handle a big blow too. They turn on a dime and can spin like a pinwheel. The Whirlwind features full span ailerons, a big rudder and a split elevator.

The fuselage is big enough for full sized, inexpensive servos. For the wing we like either the Hitec HS 65 or HS 85 MG servos in the wing. Two of them will allow you to set up spoilerons for easy landings on tight LZ’s.

Both kits feature a machine cut and hot wire cut 1.9 density EPP fuselage, CNC cut 1.3 density EPP wing cores with perfectly shaped leading edges, full span carbon spars, laser cut tail parts and all the wood necessary for the rest of the build. You’ll also receive Dubro or Sullivan control rods, nylon control horns and other hardware.
